Edyuk.setProgess(0.9.2)

I used to think that I was done with the 0.9 branch of Edyuk... Accurate testers proved me wrong... First of all there still remained (a lot of) Window$-specific bugs. Heh! This OS is so badly built... and I can't test under it so that was *forced* to happen.

Anyway, thanks to the time spent by srikpen, magland and vermarajeev (these are QtCentre.org user names ;) ) I managed to track them down and fix many nasty bugs which still plagued Edyuk.

Among other things, removing a file/folder/project from the project view may no longer cause a crash or a screw up of the view :)

Also, the loading which failed on Window$ systems due to line endings stuff now works well and has been speeded up.

The run-time translation has also been a lot improved. Translations to french, russian and german are now up to date (at least nearly... some entries are still missing in German ones since they were filled before text freeze...) and a polish one is being worked on. Thanks, respectively, to Dirk Wilden, касьянъ (know as xep on kde-apps.org) and Salazaar.

The template management have been much improved : it is now possible to specify how created files should be opened (file, project, not opened), the create new dialog looks much nicer and several very handy templates have been added.

I can thus proudly announce the release of Edyuk 0.9.2!

I must also announce that today is a great day, not only due to this release but because srikpen who kindly bought  a domain name! You can now change your bookmarks to : http://edyuk.org Wink

Hapy coding and stay tuned, Edyuk 1.0 is coming :D

It's been nearly a month since my last post here and I'm pretty sure some assumed Edyuk was dying away... Don't worry : I'm still working hard to make it ever better :)

I'm currently hacking under the hoods of QCodeEdit, the text editing layer of Edyuk. It already had support for generic syntax definitions but some (namely elcuco Wink) pointed out that the XML specification was... well, I guess crap is definitely the right word. So I took upon myself to craft a new one meant to be more flexible and intuitive, as far as the writers of syntax files are concerned. Once I finished it I was quite happy because it is extremely modular but there remained an issue : it miserabily failed with big file... Oh it did highlight them bu, for instance, a 1.2 Mb (about 15k lines) rcc-generated C++ source file took more than 1 MINUTE to be processed. I admit I never use such big files when hacking but still... It's embarassing when you know that Kate deals with the exact same file in about 2 seconds....Frown

I decided to work on another syntax model but, by the time I got started, I spotted another issue :
