May my browser be damned! I'm not joking here... This news should have been published since a few weeks already but when I pressed the "Save" but of Joomla! interface I got a weird freeze and returned to the admin screen. The wrong thing was that I the article wasn't actually published and I lost all the data... However everything is not wrong.... This delay gave me some more time to complete most of the changes I planned to do for Edyuk 0.9.0. I can now proudly announce that a beta is already available for download featuring many important changes.
What's new : - Edyuk no longer compiles against Qt 4.1, the minimum requirement is Qt 4.2
- The completion is getting quite near to perfection thanks to many fixes in typing and a new design paradigm in cache/display which reduces search and display time under 50ms even when dealing with Qt types in a recursive way
 - New template manager
- A set of brand new dialogs (remember the eye-candies in the previouses posts?)
- Implemented missing features, especially in project management
- Redesigned plugin interface fore more ease of development and better consitency of the GUI
- Removed ctags backend
- Several fixes
What remains the same (apart from bug fixes ): - powerful and flexible editing framework (shall soon be modified)
- perspective-based GUI
- flawless qmake projects loading/saving
- class browsing
- compilation (requires gcc/mingw)
- graphical debugging (requires gdb)
- dynamic shortcuts managment
- run-time translation
- ...
I'm waiting for constructive feedback so as to polish the final 0.9.0 release on which I'm still working hard. Hoping you'll like it. |
